*COOPER ARTIST LOFTS CELEBRATES 4th ANNUAL OPEN HOUSE WITH FIRE IN THE DEL*
*Seattle, WA, November 5th, 2009* – Every winter, the artists at the Cooper
Artist Lofts open their studios for Fire in the Del, their annual Open
House. This year, the residents will celebrate their 4th year in this
beautiful renovated building by once again throwing their doors wide open
and asking you to join them!
With a community gallery on the 3rd floor, collaborative installations on
the 2nd floor and 4th floor attic, roving performance, film, and music, this
weekend is guaranteed to be hot. There will also be delicious street food
vendors, libations, and a Saturday night after party with the artists where
you can dance the night away! "The Cooper School Open House allows the
community to see inside the workshops and minds of the artists living in
this unique work space,” says Karen Finneyfrock, Cooper resident and
writer/spoken word artist, “It has the feeling of mad scientists emerging
from their basements with smoke and explosions coughing behind them to open
up their doors and say, 'come see what I've been making in here.'"
Fire in the Del will happen at Youngstown Cultural Arts Center and Cooper
Artist Housing on Saturday, December 5th from 5:30pm-9pm and Sunday,
December 6th from 1pm-4pm, and is located at 4408 Delridge Way SW, just
minutes from Downtown Seattle.
*About Cooper* -- The Youngstown Cultural Arts Center is a multi-purpose
