Here are some poets that have done found poetry-
Hart Seely is pretty popular right now. He did found poems using text from Donald Rumsfeld speeches
Charles Reznikoff did some in his book "Testimony" using law reports
I haven't read any David Antin, but I hear he has published a few.
Ezra Pound and T.S. Eliot would both use snippets of found stuff- not as hard core as using nothing but found stuff.
And- there are a LOT of spam poetry writers to be found on the internets.
Found poetry is often done in poetry classes as a creative exercise, so I would guess that most modern poets have done a few at some point.
Not necessarily found poetry, but Bill Knott and Charles Simic are my favorite guys right now. I believe I told you (Joe) that you would like Bill Knott, and used the word "acerbic" at some point during the conversation.
Word.-Steve
