Greetings friends -
2007 is well under way, and can you believe it - our little frank
agency is two years old. Frankie is now walkin and talkin all around
the world and we owe it all to you, the listening/watching public!
This last year has been a blast with performances, commissions,
parties, tours, workshops, and residencies, and we can't thank you
enough for coming to the shows, buying the records, and telling all
your friends about the incredible artists that make up this
organization.
We've taken a deep breath over the last month to ready ourselves for
this next year and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at what we
have in store for you. We're expanding and multiplying our efforts, so
check the frank agency calendar page (www.thefrankagency.org/calendar)
regularly to keep in touch with our monthly happenings.
Before we say goodbye to 2006 entirely please know that we need your
votes for this year's Earshot Jazz Golden Ear Awards - nominations
include:
Reptet - Best Album for Do This!
Reptet - Best Acoustic Jazz Group and
Reptet - Best 'Outside' Jazz Group
The Monktail Raymond Scott Project for Best Performance of the year
Cast your votes by Jan. 22!
Winners are determined by the votes of the listening public (that's
YOU!). We are so very honored to be nominated and hope that you will
join our cause and cast your vote at:

With the risk of writing an incredibly long letter, I'll cut myself off
here and list some highlights coming up in 2007 -
Erwin Schulhoff Festival at Cornish College of the Arts - January 18-28
Quodia performs at the Northern Lights Festival, Tromso, Norway -
January 23
Wayne Horvitz Gravitas Quartet residency and performance at Cornish
College of the Arts - January 31 - February 2
A new CD from the Degenerate Art Ensemble and tours featuring the
Degenerate Art Ensemble, Quodia, Reptet, Wayne Horvitz' Sweeter Than
the Day, and more!!! and that's just a few of the cool things happening
before the spring!
Please stay in touch - and feel free to contact us with any thoughts,
questions, suggestions, or jokes (we all need good jokes) you may have
in the coming year.
Thank you for all of your support and best wishes for a wonderfully
prosperous and peaceful New Year!
