One new artist in residence opportunity in Bergen, Norway.

Flaggfabrikken – centre for photography and visual arts is offering an
opportunity for artists that work with camera based art to undertake a
three months residency in Bergen, Norway, from March 25th to May 25th
2007.

Flaggfabrikken is an artist collective based in Bergen. In addition to
having our own studios and artist practice at Flaggfabrikken, we work in
different ways to promote camera based art in Bergen. For more information

Flaggfabrikken will with the generous financial support from Bergen
Municipal offer the artist: studio, accommodation, travel expenses paid
and give a small grant towards covering other living expenses during the
artist’s stay.

During the residency the artist will be expected to give a small talk on
his/her work at the beginning of the residency period for the members of
Flaggfabrikken and local artists/curators. In addition Flaggfabrikken
suggests that the artist will take the opportunity of showing work at the
end of the period at “Flaggfabrikken presents:” our monthly showcase for
camera-based art at Landmark/Bergen Kunsthall (www.kunsthall.no/landmark)

Applications must include up to 20 (preferably digital, 1024x768 px, 72
dpi) images of previous works, a project proposal for the residency
period, an artist statement of no more than 500 words and an updated cv.

THE APPLICATION MUST REACH FLAGGFABRIKKEN BY POST NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER
15th 2006. THE RESIDENCIES WILL BE DECIDED BEFORE DECEMBER 15th 2006.
(Residencies spring 2007 are subject to changes according to the finncial
frames set by the Bergen municipality. The selected artists will be kept
informed of any changes.)
