Greenwood is Joe Stevens, a transman singer/songwriter from California
and graduate of Cornish College of the Arts, backed up by Ingrid Eyen
on vocals and upright bass, originally from the hills of Southeastern
Ohio. Partners on and off stage, their love of music and for each
other permeates every song, conveyed through smooth harmonies, driving
roots rhythms, and captivating lyrics of raw life experience.
Greenwood uses acoustic folk instrumentation and subconscious word
craft to twist and mold traditional folk forms into a new breed of
complex, soulful songsmithing, creating timeless yet unique snapshots
into the core of human folly and triumph.
Red Balloon is an ever-changing project centered around the songs and
music of Christopher Stewart. Christopher is a singer / songwriter /
composer / 29 year old / melon farmer / cancer / drunk / noisemaker
from Portland, Oregon. The music is sometimes set to dance, sometimes
to video, and sometimes it stands on it's own. Sometimes it is
executed by pressing play, sometimes by various bands, and sometimes by
just Christopher. Sometimes the Balloon disappears entirely and the
music becomes part of Varsity Physics, Mostly Mike, Greenwood, or
another project. www.myspace.com/redballoonmusic
