interactive projection mapping sculpture“s34sc4p3 is the curious name for a multimedia art installation by grauwald creative. the piece was recently exhibited at the seattle art museum gallery where it as on display to visitors and passers-by in the gallery’s front window. s34sc4p3 consists of a paper form hung from the ceiling using simple fishing hooks and wire. a video projector is aimed at the paper, projecting visuals rendered through an infrared webcam. the visuals take on various fractal forms that are generated via processing software, shifting over time in form and colour.” – via DesignBoom
S34sc4p3 is a multi-media interactive installation that tracks movement outside of the gallery that controls generative wave animations projected onto the sculptural surface suspended in the gallery window. The piece is best observed at night. The custom software was written in the Processing language, a code format designed for artistic applications.
